Mahoneys partner Antony Harrison recently presented to a room full of specialists at the Gold Coast Private Hospital (GCPH) on the challenges and strategies of joining colleagues to form a group practice.
Antony, who was joined by Angela Jeffrey (a Director at William Buck), specifically covered the legal considerations and strategies when creating a group practice – including entering into shareholder and other services agreements, occupying commercial premises, and how to avoid disputes.
A big thank you to the GCPH and The Professional Medical Practice (PMP) for arranging this important workshop.
A special thank you to Alix Irby and Narelle Morrison from the GCPH, and Carolin Lopez from the PMP, for their personal efforts in making the workshop a success.
Antony leads a team of lawyers who specialise in helping medical practitioners make the transition from public to private practice (including helping groups of specialists join with the specific purpose of setting up their own practice group). Feel free contact Antony if you need any assistance setting up or running a private practice.
