Mahoneys partners are pleased to announce the following promotions, effective 1 July 2024:

• Lisa Valentine to Partner;
• Rhys Williamson to Special Counsel; and
• Holly Oddo to Associate.

Lisa, Rhys and Holly are highly respected lawyers who have made, and will continue to make, an outstanding contribution to the success of the firm:

• Lisa is a commercial litigator with almost 18 years in-house and private practice experience where she has acted on a wide range of contentious matters including contract disputes, building and construction disputes, regulatory compliance, administrative law and employment matters.
• Rhys is an experienced lawyer who specialises in commercial, corporate and intellectual property laws. Rhys acts for SMEs, large private businesses and technology companies with a specific focus on corporate, intellectual property and technology law.
• Holly is an experienced lawyer in our dedicated body corporate team. Since joining the firm in 2021 Holly predominately acts for bodies corporate, body corporate managers and lot owners on all matters affecting bodies

These promotions, along with the promotion of Sabrina Austin (Associate) and Nicola Richards (Senior Lawyer) on 1 January, form part of the firm’s long-term strategic plan, which includes providing our employees:

• with a place they want to work at; and
• opportunities to develop and progress.
