Starting a private practice

27 September 2021

Mahoneys partner Antony Harrison recently presented on The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) webinar focusing on the benefits, challenges and strategies of joining a group practice.

Antony, who was joined by Paul Copeland (William Buck), Scott Montefiore (Hillross Montefiore & Co) and Michael Carr (Avant Mutual), specifically covered the legal considerations and strategies when joining a group practice – including entering into shareholder and other services agreements, occupying commercial premises, and how to avoid disputes.

It was an impressive event with approx. 170 doctors and medical specialists joining the webinar.

A copy of the webinar, titled ” Joining a group practice” (dated 18 September), can be found on RACP’s past event presentations page.

A big thank you to RACP and The Professional Medical Practice (PMP) for arranging this important webinar.  A special thank you to Tracey Handley and Amity Kruger from the RACP and Carolin Lopez from the PMP for their personal efforts in making the webinar such a success.

In the meantime please feel free contact Antony if you have any questions about setting up or creating a private practice.
